box with gold writing on it. if you look closely, here you can see thatit says it's an octa core cortex a53 cpu, which is the amlogic s912, running on a 64bitsystem. it also says that its graphics is poweredby the mali t820 mp3 gpu, which is a tri core high performance gpu, and you get h.265 and4k video. in the box, as you can see you have the sunvillet95z plus, you have your infrared remote control, an hdmi cable, a power adapter, and a usermanual. the box itself has one of the most uniquedesigns, it comes in a black octagon shape housing, and this shape is repeated all overthe top of the box giving it a bee hive pattern.
also unique to its design, is a multi colorled light that wraps around the box and changes color, giving it a really nice appearance. as i turn the box to the back and sides, youcan see here you get 1 hdmi port, 2 usb ports one on either side, you get 1 rj45 ethernetlan port, 1 audio video port, 1 optical audio port, and 1 sd card slot. to the front of the box, you have the sunvellt95z plus logo, with an led display. the remote is an infrared remote which canoperate the box, but i advise that you purchase a separate air mouse or touchpad keyboard,for a better navigation experience, especially if you are a professional user, and you liketo install apps and kodi addons for yourself.
at this point, i'm going to connect the boxto my tv, and run some benchmarking tests to see how well it performs. as we startup the t95z plus, you are presentedwith this launcher, its a simple and easy to use launcher, running on android 6.0 marshmallow. on the bottom of the launcher, you have anavigation bar for easy navigating between applications, especially when using a wirelessair mouse or touchpad keyboard. however this bar doesn't reopen when it isclosed manually, you will have to restart the box to get back this function. as we go to the apps section, here we cansee a list of all the applications that comes
with this box. as i scroll down you can see the box comeswith some major apps, you have facebook, kodi, mobdro, netflix, google play store, show box,skype, youtube, and twitter. you get app installer for installing apk filesand games, you have a one click memory cleanup button which is displayed on the launcher,and you also have one click ota system updates. prior to shooting this video, i installeda couple of benchmarking applications, so lets see how well it performs. the first application i'm going to run isan app called root check. root check is an important application, becausein order for one to enjoy the freedom and
full function of your android operating system,your box need to have root access, or as some people would say, that your box hass to berooted. as you can see the root check results showthat the t95z plus comes rooted, running on android 6 point 0 point 1 marshmallow. this allows you to install any app or gameyou like from the google play store, or side load an apk file that you downloaded fromthe internet. for hardware information, i will run an applicationcalled aida64. in this application, here you can see underthe system section, it says that the model is the t95z plus, its an amlogic tv box with2 gb of ram, and 11.87 gb of internal storage
in total. this is a bit of concern because it is supposeto read 16 gb in total, but that is not a big problem because you have the option ofconverting external storage into internal storage under android 6.0. under the cpu tab, it says here that its anocta core 64bit arm cortex a53 cpu, with speeds of up to 1000 mhz. under display, it says that you are runningthe arm mali t820 tri core gpu, with a refresh rate of 60hz. under network, here you can see what networkyou are connected to, weather it's ethernet,
2.4 or 2.5 wifi signal. under android, here you can see that you arerunning android 6 point 0 point 1 marshmallow, and again you can see here that it says thatthe box is rooted. under the thermal section, it says that thebox has an average operating temperature of 53 degrees, but keep in mind that the temperatureincreases depending on what app or game you are running on the box. under the codecs section, here you have alist of all the codecs you get on this box. just to point out two of the major ones, isee you have hevc and vp9, these two are important for playing 4k videos.

have the option of converting external storageinto internal storage under android 6.0. for playing 4k videos. that's it for hardwareinformation. type of digital rights management is supportedon this box. here you can see that the t95z plus does not have support for marling drm,verimatrix v c a s, and microsoft playready drm. what this means is that apps like netflixwill not be able to show in hd quality on this device, because it uses microsoft playready,and this box does not have the digital rights to support it. now onto some benchmarks. for the first benchmarkingtest, i'm running the antutu benchmarking application. this is a comprehensive benchmarkingtest that comprises of a 3d graphics test,
off screen rendering, image processing blur,3d physics simulation, and image processing fish eye. it carries out a memory performance,and a cpu multi treading and multitasking tests, and it also performs a user experienceperformance tests. when it completes all these tests, it gives you a score that you can compareto other android devices in its records. in this test the t95z plus got a score of 37663,which is a high score for this little tv box. for the next benchmark i'm running the geekbench4 application. geekbench 4, is a processor benchmarking application that runs a seriesof tests on a processor, and times how long the processor takes to complete each tasks.the quicker the cpu takes to complete each tesst, the device in turn will get a higherscore. in this test, the t95z plus got a score
of 425 single core, and 2130 multi-core. ifyou scroll down, you can see results for each of the individual test. the next i'm running the ice storm extremeapplication. ice storm extreme, is a comprehensive graphics rendering application that performsgpu measurements. the first test measures gpu performance while processing lots of vertices,and the other test measures gpu performance while processing lots of pixels, and the physicstest measures cpu performance. in the end the t95z plus got an ice storm extreme scoreof 5774, again this it high compared to other tv boxes in its class. that's it for the benchmarks. now i open kodi media hub, the main driverapplication of these tv boxes. if you go under
settings to system information, here you cansee what version of kodi you have installed. in this box it is kodi 16.1 jarvis. if yougo under video addons, here you get a list of all the major video addons that comes preinstalled.it comes with a variety of movies, tv shows, sporting events, and live tv for your enjoyment.under kodi you have codecs that allow you to run 4k videos at various fps. however notall of the 4k videos you run on kodi will play, you may have to run them using the mediaplayer installed in the app section. that's it for kodi. the youtube app is fully functional, you canplay youtube videos in 1080p quality and over. for the final test, i'm running a populargame called mortal kombat x. this is a versus
fighting game, and i'm using it to show howwell the box handles 3d graphics, this is a big game about 2 gb, and as you can seethe t95z plus handles it with ease without freezing up or overheating. another featureyou get under android 6.0 marshmallow, is you can now make playstation and x box gamepadscompatible with your tv box with a simple application download. in conclusion, my personal take on the t95zplus, is that i'm really surprised at the performance of this little device, and thebenchmarking scores that it got. one thing i would like viewers to know, is that someof the big names in tv boxes, some of them limits what apps and games you can downloadand install on your device, and some of them
run on android tv, which is not the full versionof android, and doesn't have root access, which doesn't give you the freedom neededfor the money you spent. with the t95z plus, you have the freedom to do what you want,in a little attractive but powerful and versatile tv box, at a fraction of what you would spendon big name brands.
