google just announced android wear 2.0here at io developers conference. it's in developer preview right now. one of thebiggest pieces of news here is that it now supports standalone apps and whatthat means is that you don't need to have your smartphone on you to use thissmartwatch app, and that's true if you have an android smartphone it's also true if you have aniphone. say you use spotify can you set out even
Android Wear 2.0 huawei, if you don't have your phone on you evenif you don't have a connection. google's also made a lot of improvements to the userinterface of android wear. there's a new app launcher that's really nice you canjust sroll through the apps. they've also changed the that way watch faces work. now any watch face that has complications
which are essentially widgets for the different apps they use, you can customize that. there's a new keyword feature. you just swipeacross the keys. it types out the words.
there's also handwriting recognitionwhich uses the same engine as google's keyboard app. so we're now two years in toandroid wear. we have adroid wear 2.0. all in all it's a much more robustwearable platform that anything we've seen from google before.
