this video shows how to extend the batterylife of your tablet by adjusting power settings. note. screens may appear differently on some devices. tablet power usage varies depending on theapplications running in the background, network reception, screen brightness, and other factors. several of these factors can be managed fromthe quick settings menu.
Android jelly bean 4.2, drag down from the upper right corner to openthe quick settings menu. from here you can reduce battery usage byturning down screen brightness. tap the brightness icon, and then drag theslider bar to lower the brightness of the screen, or tap auto to allow the tablet to automaticallyadjust brightness.
another way to reduce battery consumptionfrom quick settings is by disabling wi-fi and bluetooth. these wireless features can use up power while searching for a signal. press and hold, then release the wi-fi andbluetooth icons to deactivate them. you can also disable both at once by tappingairplane mode. with airplane mode activated, wi-fi and bluetoothare both disabled, and an airplane mode icon displays in thenotification bar at the top of the screen. tap airplane mode again to disable it, allowingyour wireless features to reconnect. for more power saving options, open the settingsmenu. touch battery to see which apps and featuresare using battery power.
