with android lollipop, you can control whatnotifications show up on your lock screen. notifications let you know about things happeningon your device - like new messages, calendar events, or downloads. you can control what notifications alwaysappear at the top of your list and which ones hide their content. you can also block notificationsentirely.
Android lock screen, open the settings menu, then touch "sound& notifications." scroll down to "app notifications." choose the app you want from the list andyou can change its notification settings. you can make an app's notifications higherpriority so that they'll always be at the top of your notification list and be availablewhen you're in priority-only mode.
or you can make an app's notifications "sensitive,"which means that its content won't show up in the notification. you can also choose to block apps from sendingyou notifications at all. now that you've set up your apps, you candecide what type of notifications show up on your lock screen. start by opening the settings menu again,then touching "sound & notifications." scroll down to "when device is locked." choose "show all notification content" andall your notifications - including the contents of incoming emails and chats - will be visibleon your lock screen.
if you choose, "hide sensitive notificationcontent," you'll still get all notifications on the lock screen, but the content for "sensitive"notifications won't show.
