hello youtube, it's emily here and today i am back with another video! yay! recently i have become very very very addicted to this one particular game app on my phone and that is... neko atsume if you don't know what neko atsume is then you are definitely, definitely missing out. today i thought that i would show you what neko atsme is and all the really cool things you can do on it. so let's get into the video.
Android neko, neko is cat and atsume is collection in japanese. literally it means cat collection however the english version is called kitty collection. essentially it’s a game where you try to collect as many cats as you can. i guess my already overwhelming fondness for cats and the cute, little designs, you could say i was hooked from day one. when i first played this game i didn’t really understand how it worked, don’t get me wrong i was already hooked but i could’t completely get into it
and that was because i completely misunderstood the concept of it. after playing it for a few days i finally figured out how it worked. it was a lot simpler than i thought it was. the way you play is by placing food, snacks and toys in the yard and waiting for cats to visit. some might say this game is boring but for a cat lover like me it is heaven :d there are over 40 different types of cats that you can collect ranging from calico’s to tabi’s. each cat that visits your yard is logged in the your catbook. so you can always go back and look at them. it also has statistics about the cats including what they like to play with and what kind of personality they have. you can even take photos of the cats playing in the yard and save them to their album. yes, there is an album for each cat,
as well as choose a best shot to be displayed in the catbook. there are also a number of rare cats to collect as well but you’ll have to put certain items out to attract them. it’s always an exciting moment when you see one of these in your yard. after the cats leave they give you gifts of fish which you can save to buy new items. there are two types of fish silver and gold. there are so many items that you can use your fish to purchase to decorate your yard with. the gold ones however usually take longer to collect and the items you can purchase with them are more luxurious. after you’ve saved enough gold fish you can even purchase an expansion to your yard so that even more cats can come and play. after a cat as come a certain amount of times they bring you little items as presents which are recorded in your momento section. i’ve received a lot of great things including a cicada skin!
this game is so popular here now in japan, that they even have toys that you can exclusively get from ufo catchers. pretty cool. my favourite regular cat would have to be pickles. i just love grey cats in general to be honest. but pickles is just so cute with it's dark grey and light grey design. my favourite special cat would have to be joe diomeowgio the baseball cat. he just looks so cute in his little baseball shirt holding his baseball bat. this game is free to download and play but does have in-app purchases mainly for fish so if you're too impatient to wait and save up for the fish you can purchase the fish to buy the things you want to buy. if you play this game and you love this game as well please tweet me your photos of your cats because i would love to see them. that's all i have for you today in this video. i hope you enjoyed this video. if did please show me by giving it a huge thumbs up. if you haven't already don't forget to check out my twitter, instagram, facebook, snapchat. i'll put al the links around my head right now. cliquey click click.. go and check it out because you will be able to keep up to date with what i do on a daily basis here in japan.

also these are my two very very cute cats that i won using the claw machine. and omg i think i am addicted and i am starting a collection. i started with this one that i got when i was with sharla and kelly and kim in nakano broadway.
and then the following day i went with daisuke to the movies and they had an arcade next to the movie theatre and i got this one as well. and omg they're just so cute!! i'm in love. i love them. i really really wish that they would bring out a gacha gacha machine one. like little key rings and things because that would be awesome. i would be all over that as well. ohhhhhh. oh no! i just got makeup on his hat. i'll have to wash that off in a second.. omg
