Android TV nougat, octa-core android tv box running android 7.1 nougat so this is the first android 7.1 box i'm going to be reviewing so as usual i'll be running a series of
real-time tests to find out how well this box performs so let's begin with the specs i'll put the specs on the screen so you guys can have a quick read so this has the s9 one - octa-core cpu running at two gigahertz the gpu is a mali 820 running at 750 megahertz you've got three gigs of ddr3 ram 16 gigs of internal storage dual band wi-fi
supporting bgn and ac bluetooth version 4.1 android version 7.1 no gut this supports ultra hd 4k videos at 60 frames per second supports hdr 10 and hate lg hdr so this is everything you gain the box you've got an instruction manual a power adapter hdmi cable a remote control we've seen this remote control before with other android tv boxes it's
a very responsive remote control and you're able to control your television as well and you've got the instructions on the back and last but not least the m8 s pro so this is it the m8 s pro a really nice design i must say that is quite small in size it's quite tiny actually you've got this lovely design here
mas pro so let's have a look at the ports on the front you've got vents more vents to the left and on the back you've got and on the back you've got an av port a lan port hdmi and your power socket and if we keep going you've got two usb ports and a micro sd card slot and now we're back to the front of the unit this is how it looks at the bottom
so as usual i want to give you guys an idea of the size of this unit this is actually tiny so i'm going to bring in the tx 5 this is one of the smallest android tv boxes you can get and i always use this one to compare with other units so if we compare these you can see that the m8 s pro is actually smaller than the tx 5
pro by a few millimeters only and exactly same in thickness i hope that gives you guys an idea of the size so i'm going to hook this up to my tv and we're going to find out how well the miku m8s pro performs so i'll be right back you so this is the home screen for the m8s
pro this is a very familiar home screen it's what we could use as their home screen on all their boxes so on the top row you're able to add your own shop cards you just click the plus sign and you add any app you like anyone's got at the top at the bottom you have shortcuts for tv center which is cody you got explorer file manager you've got the app
drawer settings and web now if we go to all apps you're going to see everything on the system so these are all the apps currently installed on the system i haven't installed anything yet so let me show you one of the new features of android 7.1 if you click on settings you will see the settings come out from the side with a transparent background so
while we're in settings let's go and have a look at the system storage so you have 16 gigabytes of internal storage but you have an available 11 gigs to play with the time the day everything i just automatically set itself after connecting to wi-fi next thing i'd like to do is actually test out airplay mirroring this comes with a very good
piece of software called air pin pro it's the paid version which is about 3 pounds 98 if you try and buy this from the google k store but this box comes with it free of charge so when you open this software up you'll be able to enable airplay and dlna and airplay mirroring m in hd it's already activated is ticked
i can come out of it now and now what i'm going to do is grab my iphone so now i've got my iphone it all you do is scroll up on the iphone click on airplay mirroring click on a tv 1:04 now you'll see that screen mirroring has worked on my iphone and you can see it works great it works as it should and it's really fast if i open up the settings i'm
scrolling so this is my iphone success on ios 10 and as you can see screen mirroring works superb on the mhs pro just installed the latest version of youtube now i'm going to get rid of the old version so to do that all you do is click on the menu button on your remote control it would bring up two options click on uninstall and it will be gone
so this comes with tv-center which is basically like cody it's a media center and everything works exactly the same but if you prefer to have the latest version of cody you just install it and you can have a new shortcut up there of cody 17.1 you cannot change any of these larger icons at the bottom they stay the same so even if you're uninstalled
tv-center you can't link it to the official cody so that will stay there all right so if i just open up cody you will see that it's cody 17.1 krypton so what we're going to do now is we're going to play a few 4k sample video files off of a usb drive and we're going to play this in kodi so here are my 4k video samples that i used to test these
boxes out let's play the first one so i just finished playing some 4k video samples let's move on now the next test i'm going to be doing is playing full hd videos on youtube so let's open up youtube so this is my new bucket wireless keyboard you can change the lights to three different colors it's an absolute amazing keyboard you've
got navigational buttons shortcuts a really nice mousepad multimedia functions and a full qwerty keyboard i'll put the links for this in the link description it's an amazing keyboard and it will really enhance your experience on your tv books ok so just i'm just going to play one of my videos first the maximum resolution you can play off
youtube videos is 1080p so let's go back and play a video what's up guys jiggs there from chicks tech reviews and today i've got my hands on a brand new 2017 budget android tv box so this is the z 69 4k tv box six times you selected wrong man next i love you you really nice having more kids started i'm a triple-a rated executive

i hydrated 19 degrees so fatty bright therefore the liverpool match in the premier league tomorrow so as you guys just saw in those tv books well let's move on now to the gaming test so i've got a whole load of games installed on this already and the first one we're going to be testing is real racing 3 so this is the game
controller i use for all my android tv games this is the g600 controller i'll put the links in the description box below so you can check it out let's continue with the game tests so here are the results for the wi-fi speed test the m8 s pro to the top download speed of twenty seven point six two and upload speeds of nine point five
nine megabits per second the nhs has achieved a total benchmark score thirty-nine thousand seven hundred and twenty-eight so let's see how this compares to the others so this is my top benchmark performance chart where you can compare all the android tv boxes that i have reviewed to date higher the
score better the overall performance so the miku m8s pro has earned position eight under the optical chart it's achieved quite a respectful score of thirty nine thousand seven hundred and twenty eight it will be interesting to see which tv box i review next and what overall score it will achieve i'm still waiting for a box that can match or beat

smooth hd video also with android 7.1 no god it looks and feels exactly the same as android version 6 marshmallow apart from the slide-out settings menu there is no other obvious change however if you are looking for an octa-core tv box this is definitely a good one to consider so what i'll do is i'll put the links in the description box below so
